Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in stroke, travel and art.
8 years ago, around the summer time, I suffered a major stroke, which damaged the left side of my brain quite severely. This left me unable to properly move the right side of my body and affected my speech. I was initially wheelchair bound but overtime grew less reliant on it. I have suffered a lot however I survived and feel really blessed with my new life!
I was born in Bangladesh and educated in Singapore. I moved to England at the age of 16. I excelled at school.
I worked hard and I gained a degree in Business Management. I was about to take a PCGE teaching course and suddenly I had a stroke.
After my stroke, I had to undergo (and still do!) intensive rehabillitation including (but not limited to) : physiotherapy, SALT and occupational therapy.
In my day to day life currently, I am studying Maths and English again and volunteer at university.
I like art, travel and music.
